Short and Sour...

The following are facts published in the LA Times and re-posted here after I found this collection at Pedestrian Infidel blog, courtesy of Mr. John Sobieski:

1.) 40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for Cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2.) 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3.) 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4.) Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5.) Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican Nationals here illegally.

6.) Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7.) The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8.) Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9.) Twenty one radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10.) In L.A. County, 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County).

11.) Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.

12.) Over 70% of the United States annual population growth and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York results from immigration.

13.) Twenty nine percent of inmates in federal prisons [nation wide] are illegal aliens.

Mr. Sobieski has condensed and said quite a bit in thirteen straightforward lines! Please share the jaw dropping numbers with your friends.

[Outline for Post]

[Something along the lines of explaining that I now have two simultaneous, serious family crises at the moment. Lead into...] This broad, detailess fact is presented not to garner sympathies, but to give reason for my recent absence from writing at my blog or commenting much at all at others I usually read daily.

Then I have that other life duty thingy, my business. [Excuses continue here, I guess. My interjection will be... biz not discussed, because this blog is not about me... directly...No, not at all.] More my views, beliefs.... Parts that count more than appearance, "image", all that cellophane crap. [Arggg...change that later!]

Hmmmm... yeah, OK... views, beliefs.... that kinda' is me, isn't it? Like it really is the substance of each of us. But the views I try to give time here hopefully relate to us all, as humans and as Americans. Whoops... this seems tangential. I was trying to explain my absence.

Back on track now. OK. But anyway. Explain that that abstract, unnamed biz thing being major overdone makes me stupid tired all the time, especially and exceptionally the last ten months [year?] or so. I'm tired. I work totally alone. No employees [ 'cept the dog girlz... Ha! ...and they never do squat around here, even when I threaten not to feed them!] I work too much. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. You guys wouldn't even believe it! It's only been that way for 34 years now. I have scaled back from 20 years ago when a 20 hour day was pretty routine, though. Now 12 to 14 is about my daily limit... How does my wife tolerate that crap? [I can't include any of that either, must at least do some 'fixing' with presentation!]

I'm getting more cripply and sore every day. Drags me down a bit sometimes, yet I fight it. I beat up my cellar dwelling treadmill regularly. I'm in much better shape than most of my buddies 10 years younger. Most even 20 years younger! Those are the only ones remaining that will still go mountain snomo'ing with me in the ever consecrated winter 'Discovery Period'.

God bless snow.

*silence*

*bowed heads*

*more silence and closed eye images of skyward angled, high speed skis bashing through delicious eight to twelve foot powdery drifts, shrieking, peaky two stroke engine wails, blue smoke.... mmmmmmmmm....... ahhhhhhhhhmhhh....... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh...........*

[Hmmm... another detour. I am truly a mess! I wonder if I should leave that in? It made me feel good just to type it. Feel good... Argh! I sound like a lib... I better rewrite that, too, or just yank it before clicking *Publish*!]

So anyway. [Man, I'm out in the willywags, here! Get back on track! Turn the corner and expound upon what you see in our world right now.]

[Explain it's no wonder...] We can't win a war since 1945... It is sad, depressing and it should be unbelievable, but it is fact.

It's what we're eating. Well, it's just like we're eating it. And it's no recent diet change, either.

It's not really edible, but lots of simularities! It's what matters most to us... it's what we care about. It's what we don't care about. We have transferred importance from what was passed on from generations before us. "Stuff" that was assembled, picked out and refined as culture and tradition. "Stuff" that made us cohesive as a united America and first, always, perpetually... STRONG. Sort of even sounds like food, doesn't it?

But not anymore.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Hell no, that worked too well! We 'evolved' to... [to WHAT? ...to different values, or, better stated, lack of them!] [Think of alt word for 'hell' in above sentence... I know there is one... right on the tip of my brain here somewhere... gotta think of it! Remember Angel's post, dumbass?!! Don't screw up! She's watching!]

"We" came up with a better, 'progressive' way. [I should point out how it has changed us and markedly weakened us.] The question is, are we too weak and will we be strong enough as our enemies recognize what time it is? They know our lack of resolve is a gashed artery. They see this is the time to pounce and exacerbate the paraded Achilles heel.

The change in diet was gradual, but persistent. It flourished. It has grown exponentially in most recent times, times we have realized (some of us, at least) what enemy we can no longer turn away from. [should this go above somewhere?]

Perhaps two enemies... the enemy without (without anything but evil motivations of World domination) and within (the liberal left who seek to dominate national power and opinion).

So, we have changed to... to what? How did the erosion of our basic country's foundation change us?

A big message. Stuff like, stuff about...

...Like an initially subtle, quiet, liberal media generated message about what we see, what we like and react to, what we consider entertainment, what we recognize as "newsworthy", what we emulate, what we acknowledge, what we cherish, what we revere and what we cast aside, castigate and denegrate as obsolete and old fashioned. Thirty or more years of societal subliminal training.

I should include how that changes our children. And how it will change their children. And that those children are tomorrow's 'deciders'.

Where did our ability to recognize values go?

[Better throw in some examples of the incredible morality decline I'm trying to illustrate somewhere in here... sure as hell are plenty of those to choose from!! What's in the freshness basket?]

Here's where...

"The WWE canceled its live "Monday Night RAW" card in Corpus Christi, Texas, and USA Network aired a three-hour tribute to Benoit in place of the scheduled wrestling telecast."

Does anybody recognize some basic serious flaws in this act??? This man, for whatever reasons, no... strike that... excuses!... [what possible justification to glorify??]

MURDERED HIS WIFE
AND 7 YEAR OLD CHILD!!!

So the fricken' World Wrestling Association gives him a three hour special television tribute???

A tribute???

People, does this truly go totally unnoticed and receive a nod of the head pass? Apparently so.

How about the case in Boston over the weekend in which another 7 year old child shot his 8 year old cousin "accidentally" while "playing" with a pistol. The mother originally tried to say that the child was killed by three armed intruders into the household. Later, she recanted and admitted what had happened during a time she was obviously absent from overseeing the children.

The gun was not securely removed from reach of the children. The children obviously were never taught not to touch or EVER play with ANY firearm. The children were not being watched by the parent (no mention of the father... one has to wonder if anyone knows who he is...). And the mother, in the wake of the tragedy, immediately tends to what she views as the most important thing at that point... covering her own useless ass! How does she do that?

She lies. Another fine example and lesson to be absorbed.

How about what is deemed essential, important entertainment and stardom news? What is this concept of 'stardom' anyway? Do these people put their pants on any differently than you or I each day? Do they not look like crap in the morning and smell repulsive when they delay bathing, just like you and I? What makes someone so ubiquitously high and mighty (and the rest of us expectedly subservient) because they choose to label themselves an "actor" and pretend for a living? And why does that give them a louder voice of opinion with more creedence in the public forum?

Paris Hilton is the quintessential example of NOTHING. She has done nothing, she can do nothing, she is devoid of any talent besides stating, via the media sycophants,

"Look at me, I have a pretty woman's body surrounding a vacuous skull and I'm COOL because I'm telling you I'm COOL... Worship me."

Cameron Diaz has been quoted numerous times with negative, empty statements about the War on Terror in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Yet she is so bereft of any solid knowledge of historic oppression that she campaigns a Maoist handbag, complete with Chinese language slogan "Serve the People", in Peru where "Shining Path" murderers killed over 70,000.

Whoops. "Sorry" says she, with a sappy smile and a hollow mention that she was ignorant of the facts. That is one of her truest utterances.

Aaaaah... No biggy, right? Afterall, she's a star! She's different. She's allowed.

Overwhelmed with all of this, I was lamenting these items recently to my mother in an 'Official Support' phone call (she is one of the two serious family health problems right now). She mentioned that the sad decay trickles down to all aspects of society, in all communities. She pointed me to this little jewel.

The highlights? Four 17 year old kids (two males, two females), 3:35 AM, pulled over after suspicion of being involved in an earlier drive by shooting. One points a gun at the officer and gets shot four times (surprise, a**hole!).

"Ferro has a previous felony conviction, and was charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon"

Where are the parents? What are these kids doing out wandering around unsupervised at 3:35 in the morning? Have these children ever been taught anything about right and wrong??? Oh, and where are the parents???

[I hope this is recognizably funneling to the overall point here...]

OK, perhaps you think this is a disjointed rant? Maybe you're correct.

I don't think so. Here's why.

I want you to try to imagine yourself a serious, dedicated terrorist. You have been raised with religious extremist indoctrination, as far back as you can recall. You are smart, educated in western affairs and culture, dedicated to promotion of a Caliphate and convinced your glorious duty is to die as a pawn establishing it. The West is your sworn enemy. You are very aware of the decay of the West's moral fabric and you are uninfluenced by any media efforts to convey it as "OK". The peaceniks are your friends, despite your absolute disinterest in anything resembling peace. You clearly see it all as a weakness in your opponent and recognize the glaring opportunities to exploit and cultivate more of the same. Each of the aspects listed above are fingers to reach into America's body and strangle the establishment from within it. Conveniently, the liberal media is a very useful, helping hand!

This is a dangerous, high stakes chess game. Chess is a game of thought, contemplation, planning and sequential actions. We don't have enough thinkers at the table. This game is real. This game is one that will be the last if we lose it.

...And we're losing, folks.

As Jorge Pounds the Table
and Swears to Correct Us..

I have reposted the critical parts of the article published in Breitbart below... Think of them as my version of CliffsNotes provided to make consumption by the 'citizenry' more, ummmm, ...'streamlined'. (See Jorge, I am figuring out your style!)

US President George W. Bush was confident Monday that the most sweeping removal of US immigration laws in over two centuries will ultimately clear Congress once he gets home from his European tour and drops by Congress to grab some bothersome Conservative throats.

Speaking in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, Bush acknowledged disappointment that the proclamation -- aimed at bringing 12 million poor, "well-meaning friends" out of the shadows -- was only temporarily regurgitated Thursday in the Democratic-controlled Congress, something he stressed was easily rectified by continuing to feed the public more bullshit until they ultimately enjoyed the taste of it.

"Listen, the immigration debate is a total sham... I know that. I'm under no illusions about how hard it is to get folks to just shut the hell up and do what I say," he told a news conference.

"There are people in my (Republican) party that don't want an amnesty bill. There are people in the Democrat Party that don't seem to want an amnesty bill, either. That is perplexing for sure! (How do you ever stop their whining? They said they wanted amnesty before, right?)"

But he said that he would, upon his return to Washington, "get some touch in" with leading Democrats and Republicans who do not support the proclamation will get firmly paddled on the ass, again.

"I'll be going to the Senate to talk about a way to save face with the voters while getting on with approving this little ole' proclamation," he said. "These people just need to learn my mindset to again be able to sleep at night," he added with a quick wink.

"I'm also going to work with those who are focused on getting a real immigration bill done and start making it clear some steps will be quietly taken if they bring this up again. I believe we can get it across. I'll see you at my bill signing." I felt his hand deftly pat me on the butt.

Harry Reid, the Democratic cheerleader of the Senate, withdrew Jorge's "bill" Thursday after senators, seeking to add even more amendments, voted twice within nine hours not to move it towards a final vote as he had dictated.

Billed as a "grand scam," the proposed law would guarantee a superhighway to legal status for illegal aliens, establishing a merit-based points system for generations more of otherwise illegals, and create a low-wage permanent haven for "business conservatives" who give little time for the "other" long range national ramifications of such a program.

It also fantacizes about a "border security crackdown", promising forgiveness for employers who hire 'southern friendlies' and a full wipe out of a backlog of visa applications from those fools who have gone through all those old-fashioned, pesky legal channels and have been patiently waiting on the process for many years. Obviously, the latter should have been smart enough to catch the drift and just hop the damn fence!

"Why do we need idiots that couldn't smell the coffee here earlier?" quipped a playful President Bush.

Bush, who has made immigration law removal a top priority of his second presidential term, is due to attend a Senate Republican policy lunch on Tuesday following yet another pointless trip to Europe on us.

Well, I think the writing is clearly "on the wall", as they say. The wall.... HA! Did you catch that funny? As if anybody ever really believed there was ever going to be "a wall", anyway!! Silly Conservatives... tricks are for hookers (and Jorge, too!).

*ROFLMAO*

Speaking of which, one of my favorite Conservatives has recently interviewed that liberal seer, Brittany Spears about this whole frustrating mess. Man, I had no idea what a luminary she is! And I thought Mary Katharine Ham was smart...

The Sniper: Iraq Insanity... Repost

Read it here.

Here's some news that Dan Blather/ Tom Brokedick/ Skeeter Jennings won't tell you... and some that they will!

OK, now it's somebodies other than them... Yeah, I do know that those three are all washed up and gone. I even know that Jennings is dead. *sniffle* What I don't know is which puppets replaced them. I hope that illustrates how long it's been since I tuned in to any of their network refuse broadcasts and how much I care.

Great post, Sniper.

Incidentally, these folks have quite a blog that is well worth your time. Very shiny credentials and writing skills with errr, some rather smokey language here and there. If you're not easily offended by the latter, it will become an eagerly anticipated daily read. Try it!

Another Towel Thrown in the Bush Ring

Just blindly keep on driving, Boys! Ignore that man behind the curtain! The noise will die down eventually... just screen out those pesky American citizens and their unimportant opinions... they'll come around.

Yet, it seems we have another man overboard! ...And not just anybody, either:

Subject: RE: TIME TO CALL RADIO

Date: Wed, 6 Jun 2007 22:15:22 -0400

From: David Nix

To: 'Adam Temple'

CC: Mike Gibbons

Adam,

Please consider this my resignation as Aiken County chair for McCain. I am too far from him on the Amnesty Bill. I was hopeful that he could keep his nose clean this time around, but he can’t read the pulse of the American citizens.

Please pass my regrets on to Henry McMaster.

David Nix
Aiken County

Adam Temple is McCain's South Carolina press secretary. The e-mail was in response to a plea for McCain county chairs to call into talk radio stations and make the pitch for their candidate. Nix, evidently, is very unhappy about the "Amnesty Bill" because the guy he cc'd, Mike Gibbons, happens to be a reporter for the Aiken paper. Henry McMaster, btw, is the state AG and a big McCain supporter.

UPDATE:

From SC AG Henry McMaster:

“Most people understand it's never possible to agree with any leader on every single issue. John McCain has 80 county chairs and co-chairs in South Carolina. Plus hundreds of other endorsements from Republican elected officials and party activists all across South Carolina, more than any other presidential candidate.

“Those of us on John McCain's team admire him for his courage, his honesty and his willingness to take a stand. He is clearly the best prepared to lead our nation
in the war against global terror.”

Yeah, right... In other words, AG McMaster is giving the same patented response that Bush is giving to the remainder of his Conservative base... the big upward pointing middle digit! Essentially, the responding message continues to be "We don't need you!"
Boy, he certainly takes cues from Johnny and Jorge well, eh?

However, read the following comment from one within the Aiken county area who knows better and offers this insight:

This is bigger news than Henry McMaster wants to let on. Aiken county is a big GOP county. Strom's home county (Although he was born and buried in Edgefield). South Carolina has a lot of rural counties that still vote blue-dog democrat. Note The Breck Girl in very rural SC with Hugo's filmmaker yesterday. The fact that Henry says that there are 80 county chairs means nothing when one of the big dogs from a big county jumps off the wagon.

These folks may continue to ignore the boil, but ultimately they are going to get scalded. Just watch and see...

Message to GOP:

"If Fred runs, I stay"

Well, amidst this ongoing onslaught of dismal news and prepostorous demonizations from our current POTUS, I was delighted to have gotten home from my indentured servitude just barely in time to tune in to Sean Hannity last evening on "Hannity and Clueless". If you didn't see his exclusive live interview with Fred Thompson, it was nothing short of extraordinary! The printed transcript of their conversation can be found here, if you don't have high speed access to smoothly and quickly download the video. I like re-reading the words anyway, as they seem to illustrate his views better than simply listening.

Unlike the pandering and double speak that we have become so accustomed to, the exchange was blunt and direct (my personal favorite). OK, I know, he's a politician and it sure looks to me like he is going to run, but, by Cracky, you watch this interview and walk away telling yourself it is all a bunch of lies. Maybe, but I think not.

I had two "bones" to pick with him about his past legislative performance...

The first was him NOT voting to impeach Prez. Bubba, who I hold responsible for a multitude of actions (and mostly inactions) that share a very large part of the astonishing mess and back slipping we have experienced in the last 15 years or so. I am still irritated at what Fred did not do then... Bill Clinton deceived us blatantly, certainly obstructed justice and lied publicly on our public airwaves... and later finally admitted it. He passed on squleching Bin Laden several times. He bombed an aspirin factory when the heat was on him hard (pun ruthlessly intentional) for his sex play in our Oval Office.

And there's plenty more of course, which we have discussed and beaten until everybody on both sides of the aisle have turned bright purple. Do we really need to re-hash it here now? I don't think so. Everybody's mind is made up on their personal positon and nothing here is going to change that. But it remained one of the key irritants that I still had over his otherwise quite stunning Conservative record.

He explained it in the interview as follows:

HANNITY: Let me ask you the one issue — you split your decision on Clinton impeachment. You voted to convict on the obstruction, but not the perjury. You still stand by that? Was that the right decision?

THOMPSON: Absolutely. It didn't have anything to do with how I felt about him. It had to do with what I considered my role to be. I considered my role to be a judge, and I had to be dispassionate toward the individual. I went back to the founding fathers and what they thought constituted impeachable offenses and was quite surprised, in some respects, that some misbehavior did not constitute impeachable offenses in their views. So I followed that, and that caused me to split my vote.

Well, OK... I still do not accept that as a valid reason to have voted to keep Willy, but I can concede that if he did feel that way, he voted his conscience. I can respect a decision like that, even when I don't agree with it. And notice he didn't take forty three pages of explanation to declare and describe his reasoning. I also like that he stated that it didn't have anything to do with how he "felt" about him. Does that not exemplify a careful separation of personal opinion from his interpetation of the rule of law? It looks to me like he did it better than I would have!

I can live with that.

My other large and bothersome hiccup with Fred was McCain/Feingold and his endorsement of it. He separated it into two distinct portions when he answered with his reasoning for his action:

HANNITY: ...All right, the other issue: you were one of 11 Republicans who supported McCain-Feingold. A lot of conservatives are angry at that. [Ann Coulter sure is!] Do you still support it? Was it the right decision, in retrospect?

THOMPSON: Part of it was, and part of it wasn't. [This beginning instantly worried me as I thought I sensed the BS Alert Light brightly illuminating!] The part that I came to town to change was the increasing amounts of money being given to politicians. The Clintons showed us how to use soft money in ways that people up until recently thought was against the law. And more and more large donations flowed into the parties and to the candidates.

I said, "Let's raise the hard money legitimate limits that we've always had from $1,000" — it was my amendment, really, that got it from $1,000 to $2,000, plus indexed for inflation, do away with the soft money. I still think that's a good idea. I support that. Coming to a politician and giving him a bunch of money and having business before him is not a good idea.

HANNITY: But 60 days before a general, 30 days before a primary...

THOMPSON: That's not working.

HANNITY: That's not working?

THOMPSON: It shouldn't work.

HANNITY: You would repeal that?

THOMPSON: Yes.

Jeesh, I may be topped of with excrement, but I can reconcile with that, too. When we look at the exorbitant amounts of money that are forecast "necessary" for an individual to be even deemed politically competitive, some limitations in some form don't seem over the top to me. What I don't like is the squelching of American voices such as that from firearms rights organizations (such as the NRA) in that 30 preceding a primary or 60 days prior to a general election. Again, I can just about live with this view.

The other item Sean brought up was his checked answer, perhaps not even directly by him, of a "box" that stated:

"Abortion should be legal in all circumstances for the first three months."

He says he doesn't remember doing that and that it could have been a staff member completing the form for him.

*SOUNDS OF SCREECHING BRAKES!!!*

THAT sounds like Clinton-speak!

But, as Sean goes on to point out...

"That wasn't your voting record, interestingly."

Hmmm... can YOU remember with clarity a given particular act that you performed 13 years ago? Can YOU remember them all from that year??

I cannot.

And which speaks louder? A checked box or his voting record?

I thought his motivation to run for Prez was also very well articulated, too...

HANNITY: ...And, you know, I guess it's the basic question: Why do you, Fred Thompson, want to consider being the next president of the United States?

THOMPSON: Well, I look at things like the threat that our country faces. Everybody is focused on Iraq now. We ought to be thinking about the day after Iraq. We have a threat out there like we've never faced before. And I don't think the American people are being apprised of it; I don't think they realize that this has been something that's been going on for a few hundred years, and our enemies have another 100-year plan. [emphasis mine... who else has recognized the '100 year plan' of the Jihadi scum??] We have a plan basically to get us through the next election.

And we've got a military that's still in the works, as far as transformation is concerned, to deal with that kind of a threat. We're spending much less than we need to, to face that threat. I look at things like globalization, the new millions of employees that are coming online in places like India and China that are going to be competing with our people. And some people want to raise the specter of protectionism. We have a tax code that's hopelessly out of date and out of step for our times now, punishes the things that we say that we want more of and makes us less competitive in the world.

We're an aging society, a good thing. We're living longer. Best medical care in the world. But it's going to bankrupt us, our entitlement programs, unless we do things differently. We're going to lose Social Security and Medicare as we know it.

So you can't sit back, and see people, you know, talking their sound bites and going over their list of things to get applause lines and so forth, and see where your country is headed, and knowing what you've got to do for the next generation in order to make it the same way that it was when we inherited from the prior generation, without thinking serious thoughts about what you ought to do about it.

How about his view of a pre-emptive military strike on Iran to stop them if nuclear ambitions are about to be realized??

HANNITY: If it's clear that they're getting close to getting the weapon, would it be your policy to support preemption as a means of taking out or wiping out those facilities, considering they've, you know, repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel off the map?

THOMPSON: Yes. Yes.

HANNITY: It would be?

THOMPSON: Yes.

WOW. Is THAT clear enough for you?

*HEARTY APPLAUSE FROM PERHAPS THE LAST CONSERVATIVE IN MAINE!!!*

I'm on board. I think the guy is real. I'm glad I got too busy with my work yesterday to call the GOP and officially depart. I will instead call them today and inquire of the procedure to officially depart (and join no other party) along with the stark footnote that, if Fred runs, I stay. I'm hoping I won't be the first Republican calling in with a similar statement... and I certainly don't wish to be the only one, either. Watching the movements and words from other real Conservatives, I expect company.

Here is Mr. Thompson's fresh Presidential bid website...

Of course, you well may not agree with me... that's what 'Comments' are for... and I welcome them without a closed mind to your view.

Give Me Levity or
Give Me Death...

A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up.

Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to "Dad".

With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter:

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom and you.

I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercings, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am.

But it's not only the passion...Dad, she's pregnant.

Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy.

In the meantime, we will pray that Science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it.

Don't worry Dad. I'm 15 and I know how to take care of myself! Someday, I'm sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren.

Love,

Your Son, John

PS: Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that's in my center desk drawer.

I do love you.

(Please call me when it's safe to come home...)

I'm Not The Only One...

ET's had enough also. And, as always with this unique and intellectual gentleman, he brought up some great additional points I left out.

I'm inspired. Things need to change. People need to show and voice their feelings about this. How long can we go on with this diet of pure rubbish from the people we elected, who get in office and do entirely the opposite of what they said they would do and what we expected them to do?

Is it really so completely over the top for us to expect locked down borders in the face of Al Qaida evil?

Why aren't legal immigrants standing up and crying out "UNFAIR TO THOSE OF US WHO PLAYED BY THE DAMN RULES!" ??

Why isn't John Q. American getting loud, real loud, about being expected to shut-up and pay for this fricken' outrage???

What if Republicans like me suddenly departed the Party in droves?

We can vote any way we wish regardless of party affiliation... Maybe a mass exodus would get a pre-election point across that Bush and Company have thus far refused to hear or recognize.

I'm due for some soul searching about this junction... Are you?
